Minor burns which are called as first-degree burns affects the skin top layer and turns the skin red and painful. These may be caused due to the electricity, hot water, steam, fire or some other kind of heat. It is needed to be treated with good care, if not it regulates the painful blisters. Home remedies to treat burns on the skin
In the immediate moment of skin being burned, run the water over the affected area to stop the enhancement of the burn. Repeat this step for several times. Retain a cold compress after pouring the water. If you can repeat the application of cold compress it gives you pain relief. Do not use ice as it blocks the flows of blood, which will simultaneously threaten the soft tissues.
Take a raw potato and cut it into two halfs, place a half over the area of the burn. Ensure that potato is spreading its juice in that area. The anti-irritating and soothing properties of potato helps in the better treatment of the minor burns. Try this remedy very immediately after the burn occurs to minimize the pain and reduce the blisters.
The astringent and painkilling properties of the aloe vera work wonders for the first degree burns. It heals the burns with its endeavoring properties. Take a tentacle from the aloe vera plant and apply to the burn directly, make sure you apply aloe vera after washing the burn with cold water or cold milk or vinegar. If you don’t find the aloe vera plant in your vicinity apply the aloe vera filled cream.
Coconut oil and lime extract
For the treatment of the minor burns, coconut oil with the combination of lime extract functions well. Coconut oil is the best source of fatty acids like lauric acid, Capric acid and Myristic acid. These fatty acids are having the properties of anti-fungal, anti-oxidizing and anti-bacterial properties. Lime extract contains of acidic and astringent properties which helps in the reduction of scars.
One can deserve the help of honey to disinfect the wounds. Honey helps to heal the burns by secreting the fluids out of the tissues, thus it also removes the dirt from the burned area. White vinegar is rich in acetic acid. It has a component of aspirin that help relieve the pain, inflammation, burns, and itching. It has antiseptic and astringent properties. It helps to burn and helps to dull pain naturally. Soak a paper towel in diluted vinegar that create a soothing compress or apply them to burn by using cotton swabs.
Oats have soothing properties that help to reduce inflammation. Oats are particularly useful when you burn is healing and are tempted to scratch it. You can add a cup of oats that helps to bath water. Soak for 20 minutes to soothe a large burn. Add some oats to a small bowl of water and soak the affected area. Air dry helps to your skin so a thin layer of oats that remains and reduces itching. It adds relief and tosses some baking soda into bathwater. Bicarbonate of soda helps to soothe skin inflammation.
Onion juice is the best component for sulfur compounds that can relieve pain. It has quercetin that helps to heal the burn and reduces the chance of blistering. Take an onion and cut it into half. Blend juice from those pieces and apply this juice onto the burn. It is recommended to use freshly cut onions, because after a few minutes onions lose their medicinal properties. Repeat the process for several times a day.
A tongue burns can be treated with ice cubes. Ice cubes help to tongue burn, which is the best treated rather than other home remedies.
