I know with mood swings pregnant women often get irritated mixing and making face packs. You don’t have to mix stuff or recollect stuff you have got in kitchen. I here would like to share with you few amazing face packs that should be handy or pre-prepared to use every alternative day or very often.

Day skin face packs
These day care face packs are great for pregnant women who want to play safe. I suggest all the pregnant women to please use any face packs before you go for a bath or else you will end up feeling irritated or sticky all throughout the day.
Oats and plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp Oatmeal
- Honey 3 drops optional
- Apply this mask on your clean face, leave it for 10 minutes, and wash with lukewarm water.
Aloe vera, rose water and lemon juice
This is an amazing de-tan mix as Aloe gel has supernatural properties to lighten any dark patchy skin, moisturize and cool the skin. Dry skin types are prone to tanning than any other skin types.
- 1 tbsp aloe vera (Patanjali)
- Rose water 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Mix and apply on your face, neck and hands using a brush or fingers for 20 minutes. Take a walk. It’s time to rinse off the face pack with plain water.
Almond oil and banana
- ripe banana mashed (vitamin c)
- 5 drops almond oil (improves skin elasticity)
Mix well, apply on clean face, let it stay for about 15 minutes and then wash off with clean water.
Pregnancy can also make you squeeze more oil through your pores so combinations below would work well leaving your skin soft and blemish free.
- Honey 1 tbsp + lemon 1 tbsp
- Turmeric pinch + lemon 1 tbsp + curd 1 tbsp
- Rice flour + potato juice
- Carrot juice 1 tbsp + honey 1 tbsp
Oily skin pregnancy face packs
Tomato, lemon or cucumber juices are a gift for oily skin faces. Mixed with milk or lemon significantly brings about a change when applied on pigmented skin.
Banana face pack
For the Banana fruit mask mix
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 ripe banana.
Apply the mix on your face, neck and hands. Let it dry and wash with warm water.
Potato and lemon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (removes black spots, lightens skin)
- 1 tbsp potato juice (helps in pigmentation)
Mix well and apply onto your clean face. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off with fresh water.
Yogurt and lemon face pack
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon
- 1 tbsp besan
Mix the ingredients. Apply the mixture on face. Let it dry and wash off.
Bath care
I recommend all the pregnant women to use natural scrubs for their bodies during pregnancy and post pregnancy too. Yes, you can even use this scrub or say (sunni pindi version) on your baby too. Make sure you APPLY oil to your face, hands, feet and body before using this scrub for better results. Play safe guys – soaps makes your skin dry and doesn’t at all help you remove the dead skin and clean pores from within.
6 cups – green gram flour
3 cups – besan or chickpea flour
1 cup – rice flour
1 teaspoon – turmeric
Mix them all together and store the scrub into a container. Use a cup everyday for rinsing. It works great. Your skin feels soft.

Using vitamin-E based oils or capsules help you produce more collagen and keep your skin youthful. If you don’t have vitamin-E capsule replace it with 5 drops almond oil
- 1 tbsp aloe vera
- 1 capsule vitamin-E or 5 drops almond oil
Mix well store in a small container. Apply on face, neck, hands and foot. Leave it on for the night. Next morning you start seeing a glowing face already. Wash your face with water and pat dry.
