Stomach bloating is due to a medical condition like liver or heart disease, which is only real cause in intestinal gas not water weight. Bloating can be caused due to gas, water retention, or irregularity that can make even a tiny tummy. “Bloating in the stomach is from fluid accumulation in healthy adults its a myth said by Jensen”.

When the diameter of the abdominal is increased more than its usual size and giving uncomfortable and tight feeling it is called bloating stomach. It is also known as swelling of the stomach. It is a most common problem induced due to food habits or lifestyle etc. If you are suffering with a bloating stomach just follow the simple steps to stay it off.

How to get rid of bloating stomach

Potassium based foods

Potassium has got the property of balancing fluid in the body, which will keep the bloating problem as far. The potassium contained food includes bananas, tomatoes, spinach, mangoes and nuts etc. These potassium based food will discard the excess water present in the body by which you can get relief from bloating stomach.

Bananas

Banana is the best source of fiber and helps to reduce bloating and gas associated with constipation. Bananas are rich in potassium, which helps to regulate fluid levels in your body. It gives relief from bloating. You can eliminate bloating by regularly eating bananas. Eat banana as a snack or add them to fruit salads and baked desserts.

Don’t swallow adequate amount of air

By knowing or unknowing we swallow excess air amounts, this is also a reason for the bloating stomach. So, check your habits of smoking, drinking juices, chewing a bubble gum, and prefer to talk less while eating.

Fennel seeds

Fennel seeds are good for bloating stomach due to carminative, and diuretic pain that can reduce antimicrobial properties. It helps to relieve bloating by relaxing muscle spasms in the digestive tract. Chew a few fennel seeds after eating a big meal. Or you can add one teaspoon of fennel seeds in a cup of hot water then cover it to steep for 5 – 10 minutes. Strain the solution to drink it. Drink this 2 – 3 times a day.

Avoid starch food

Starch food is one of the main reasons of bloating stomach. Try to limit or avoid starch contained food such as noodles, white bread, pastries, cakes, pastas etc.

Physical activity

Doing a physical activity daily improves your stomach digestion by the movement of the body. Sleeping for eight hours is also needed for a healthy body.

Ginger

Ginger is used to reduce gas and bloating as it contains several active ingredients. It has pungent compounds that shogaols and gingerols that helps to reduce inflammation in the intestines.

Ginger helps to relax the intestinal muscles. Take 5 -6 slices of ginger and add them into a cup of boiling water. Pour the boiling water into the cup and cover it with a lid. Let it steep for 10 minutes and add a little honey, and lemon juice to it if you won’t like it drink as it is. Drink it three times a day.

Avoid spicy foods

Try to avoid the spicy food which may irritate or bloating your stomach. Some of the spicy foods to avoid if a person is suffering with bloating stomach are black pepper, vinegar, chili powder, mustard, radish, onions, garlic.

Massage

To flush out the gas, massage the abdomen massage in the gastrointestinal tract direction, press your fingers close to the right hip and near to the colon.

Caraway seeds

Caraway has antimicrobial, antispasmodic, and carminative properties. The two chemicals present in caraway seeds such as karvol and carvene helps to smooth muscle tissues of the digestive tract. They help to promote expulsion of gas to give you instant relief from stomach bloating. Chew a pinch of caraway seeds several times throughout the day, if you are suffering with frequent bloating. So, it is better to taste of raw caraway seeds that are too strong for you. So, brew crushed caraway seeds to make a tea is also better.

Chew more

Chew your food number of times, taking the food quickly without proper chewing will cause stomach bloating. The food which was undigested may be killed by bacterial while passing into the large intestine, this process releases the gas and leads to bloating stomach.

Fiber food

Bloating may be caused due to having excess amount and little amounts of fiber, so prefer to take the limited amounts of fiber in your diet to minimize the amount of bloating experience.

Constipation

Constipation is a main culprit behind the stomach bloating, adding a good amount of fiber to your diet may regulate your digestive system, which intern eliminates the constipation.

High fiber foods are bran based cereals, legumes, beans, corn, brown rice, avocado, wheat pasta, peas, artichokes, whole-wheat bread, broccoli, apples, peas, raspberries and almonds.

If you suspect constipation is not your problem, don’t take high fiber food because it could make your problem worse. The person who experiences gas while bloating need to keep down the fiber content.

Cooked vegetables

Cooked vegetables, serve easy digestion when compared to raw vegetables. In the cooking process few of the fiber and enzymes will go out which may cause stomach upset and problem of bloating.
