Blackheads usually appear on the facial skin as black spots around the nose or on the forehead or the chin area. The sebaceous gland present at the root secretes oil, called sebum and along with dead cells and dirt, accumulates and clogs the pores of the follicle causing unevenness in the skin surface. These appear as whiteheads, but when the bumps come in contact with the air it looks black and is known as blackheads. Usage of apple cider vinegar
Direct use : Apple cider vinegar if applied directly onto the affected area of the skin with the help of a clean cotton wool ball, and left on for a few minutes before washing it with some lukewarm water, helps to clear the accumulated dirt and the unwanted dead skin cells so that the pores become free and thus there is no formation of blackheads. This method has to be repeated a couple of times daily to get the desired result.
Using a mask of apple cider vinegar and baking soda
Equal quantities of apple cider vinegar and baking soda when mixed together, form a fine paste and can be applied all over the face with the help of fingers, thus forming a thick layer and left on for about half an hour or until the mask dries up. Then wash the face with some lukewarm water and gently scrubbing it, followed by applying a cleanser and moisturizer. This mask has to be used regularly to get rid of blackheads.
Mixing crushed mint leaves and apple cider vinegar
Equal portions of crushed mint leaves and apple cider vinegar should be mixed well in a jar and left as it is for a week. Then it has to be strained and diluted with a cup of water. It can then be applied on the face and left on for a few hours before washing the face clean. The vinegar helps to control the oil that has accumulated while the mint soothes the skin.
