Ayurvedic hair packs for hair fall control
Bhringraj hair pack
Ayurveda names Bhringraj as the king of herbs. The extract from its leaves have myriad benefits for conditions like alopecia, baldness and also premature greying of hair. It has a soothing effect and applying its oil on the scalp helps induce sleep in people suffering from insomnia.
- Take a bunch of bhringraj leaves, add them to a blender with a little water and make a smooth paste. If you cannot come by bhringraj leaves, buy it in a dried powdered form. Add water to the powder to create a thick smooth paste.
- Apply the paste on to the scalp and coat your entire length of hair with it.
- Wait for 20 minutes and then wash off with a shampoo.
- Repeat this treatment 3 times a week.
- For added benefits, massage your scalp with bhringraj oil three times a week.
Soap nuts (Ritha) hair pack
Ritha or soap nuts are used as an organic shampoo in Ayurveda. It is a mild cleanser that leaves the natural oils of scalp intact and promotes thickness and volume of hair growth.
- Soak a handful of ritha in 2 cups of warm water over the night.
- In the morning set the same water along with the ritha to boil for 15 minutes.
- After cooling it, pass through a strainer and collect the liquid.

Shikakai and amla hair pack

- Soak 3 tablespoons of shikakai powder with 6 tablespoons amla powder in a bowl of lukewarm water overnight.

Fenugreek seeds (Methi) hair pack

Indian winter cherry (Ashwagandha) hair pack

- Take half a cup of pure organic aloe vera gel. Add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of honey to it.

- Leave it in for 30 minutes. Use a mild shampoo and lukewarm water to wash off the hair pack.
Brahmi amla ashwagandha hair pack
Brahmi is an Ayurvedic herb well known for improving hair health. It promotes growth of thick, voluminous hair and also adds to its lustre and visual appeal.
- In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of dried brahmi powder, 2 tablespoons of dried amla powder and 2 tablespoons of dried ashwagandha powder with half a cup of curd or yogurt. Blend everything well to form a thick paste of smooth texture.
- Proceed to apply this hair pack all along the length of your hair beginning from the roots till the tips.
