All over the world there are various beauty standards set by the various fashion magazines and brands. But these beauty standards should not be followed as they are very hard to achieve. People always want to look beautiful and fair. It is often thought that being fair will instantly be accepted and appraised. Everyone is running behind various fairness products to look fair. But these products are harmful for the skin. And fairness products can be very costly as well. As people are always working and going out in the sun, it causes tan. Tan can make one look dusky and dull. Removing a tan can take time using various clinical products but it can be achieved overtime with the help of homemade ingredients.
Some tan removing mask using besan or gram flour
Besan and potato
To make the mask two tablespoon of besan and a small potato is needed. Grate the potato and extract its juice and mix with the besan to form a paste. Apply it all over the skin and let it dry for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. The potatoes have natural bleaching properties which will help to remove the tan. This can be applied 2-3 times a week.
Milk and besan
For this mask two tablespoon of besan and two tablespoon of milk should be mixed. Then apply for it for 20 minutes before washing it off with cold water. This mask should be applied every 5 days. Milk acts as a natural cleanser and has emollient in it.
Besan and lemon juice
The ingredients required to make this mask is two tablespoon besan, half teaspoon lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric and one tablespoon yogurt. Mix everything together to form a smooth paste and apply it. Leave the mask for 20 minutes before washing it. The lemon juice helps to remove the tan with its acidic properties. This can be applied twice a week.
Banana and gram flour
For this, 4 ripe bananas, rosewater and two tablespoon of gram flour should be mixed. First mash the bananas and add the besan to it. Then few drops of rosewater to the mixture. Apply the paste all over the face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. The banana helps to nourish the skin. It can be applied twice a week.
Papaya and besan
One tablespoon of besan, 5-6 ripe papaya pieces and rosewater is used to make the mask. Mix all the items to form a smooth paste and apply. Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing. The papaya helps to exfoliated and make the face look bright. This can be used once a week.
Sandalwood and besan
A pinch of turmeric, two tablespoon rosewater, one teaspoon sandalwood powder and one tablespoon besan should be mixed and applied. Leave it on the face for at least 20 minutes. The sandalwood helps to treat the pimples, rosewater hydrates the skin and turmeric acts as an antibacterial agent.
Aloe Vera and besan
One teaspoon of aloe vera and one teaspoon of besan can be mixed and applied for 10 minutes. Repeat this thrice a week to get better results. Aloe vera contains vitamins, minerals, polysaccharide, and antioxidants which reduces dark spots and make the skin fair over time.
Besan and cucumbers
The ingredients required are two tablespoon of cucumber juice, two tablespoon of besan and 5 drops of lemon juice which is optional. Apply the mixture for twenty minutes and repeat it twice a week. The astringent present in cucumber helps the close the pores. It hydrates the skin and make the face glow.
Almond and besan
The items needed to make the mask are four almonds, half teaspoon lemon juice, one teaspoon besan and one tablespoon milk. First grind the almonds and add the besan to it. Then add the remaining ingredients. Don’t make the mask too liquidy. Leave it on the face for 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. One can use rose water instead of milk in case of sensitive skin. Almond rejuvenate and hydrate the skin. This can be applied twice a week.
