Sugar is not just limited to enlighten the taste buds; it can enlighten the skin too, for which one needs to make a Basic Sugar Scrub. Add one of your favorite essential oils along with a tablespoon of sugar, make a thick paste and use it to massage your skin well, and then rinse it off. You are bound to notice a change; your skin will feel soft and smooth.

Baking soda scrub
Baking Soda is one great ingredient to be used as a scrub, as it removes blackheads, marks and acnes too. Along with its property of baking a cake, it bakes the skin too (in a good way, of course), a natural exfoliator that is so easy to make. Add it along with sugar to your usual cleanser and mix well, then massage it on your skin gently for 5-10 minutes, rinse it off then.
Oatmeal serves both health and skin with its healthy properties. It is one such healthy exfoliator that removes all kinds of dirt and impurities which sticks to the skin because of pollution. It also has a healing and nourishing effect on the skin, where it heals the marks, acne and nourishes the skin which is dry and sensitive. To make this paste, you need to mix oatmeal and sugar along with some water to make a paste.
Again, a food material, that can be very well put to use to exfoliate the skin because of the antioxidants present in it. It can also be used to remove blackheads that appear on the nose region. To make this scrub, add some coffee, sugar and a tablespoon of oil that you use for your skin, keep stirring them together to avoid lumps. Apply it on your face and massage it thoroughly for some minutes till you rinse it off.
Kiwi and sugar scrub
Another natural ingredient that can be used for a DIY sugar scrub pack for its antioxidant properties that fights away the damage free radicals can cause to a skin. Kiwis are very effective for women with oily skin as it prevents the production of excessive oil for the skin. Mix it with sugar and oil to make a paste which you will gently rub on your skin.
Tomato sugar scrub
Tomatoes have one good of a property to remove acnes, acne marks and tan from the skin, which again can be used in a great way as a natural exfoliator for the skin. To use this, one needs to crush the tomatoes, and add brown sugar to reap the benefits. Massage it on your skin in a circular motion and then rinse it off.
Blueberry and honey scrub
