Using aloe vera gel
We are all aware of the goodness of Aloe Vera, a plant that is rich in vitamins. The gel inside its thick leaves works wonders when applied directly to the face, and massaged gently until the skin soaks in all of it. Then leave it on for about half an hour before washing off. In case you do not get it fresh, Aloe Vera gel is readily available in any medicine shop or can be bought online also. Aloe Vera soothes and moisturizes the skin due to its moisturizing property and leaves behind a soft and healthy looking skin.
Lemon as a revitalize
Fresh lemon juice, can be used diluted with water or in its raw form, and just dabbed onto the affected parts of the face and left to dry for a few minutes. Wash the face normal water and apply a moisturizer. This can be done twice or thrice in a week. Lemon juice is acidic in nature can help to lighten and heal the marks and makes the skin healthy too. But direct exposure to sunlight has to be avoided after this procedure as the skin becomes sensitive.
Mask made with cucumber and yogurt
Mix equal quantities of cucumber juice and yogurt and make a thick paste. Then with the help of the fingers gently spread the paste on the affected area and leave it on for a sometime before washing off with cold water. This mask can be used regularly for desired results. Cucumber moisturizes and makes the skin soft. Together with yogurt it removes dead cells and rejuvenates the skin.
Using the age-old method of sandalwood paste
Make a paste with sandalwood powder, some lemon juice, and rose water and gently layer the face with this paste and leave it on for some time. Then wash off with cold water. Repeat this process thrice weekly. You can see the changes as sandalwood effectively fights off the harmful microorganisms, thus preventing the formation of acne.
Using the juice of papaya
Take some freshly extracted papaya juice and dab it gently on the face and leave it on for a couple of minutes or until it dries up. Then wash the face with cold water. This can be done regularly and you can feel the difference, as papaya is rich in vitamin A and it is an excellent healer.
A gram flour scrub exfoliates the skin
Make a face pack with besan or gram flour and rosewater, mixed in equal quantities and made into a paste, is applied on the face and leave it on until it is completely dry. Then wash the face as usual. This pack can be used regularly to get rid of the scars. Besan acts as a scrub and removes the dead skin and brings back the glow of the skin.
A face pack made of turmeric powder and mint
Make a paste of turmeric powder and some juice of mint leaves and spread it gently on the affected areas on the face. Leave the pack on for some time and then wash it off with lukewarm water. This method can be followed twice weekly. This pack is very effective as we are all aware that turmeric is antibacterial by nature and mint is so soothing and has healing qualities. Therefore the ugly scars that are left behind by acne can be healed quite fast.
