Homemade fairness scrubs

Are you worried about your damaged skin? It’s time to exfoliate your skin to remove the impurities like blackheads, whiteheads, dead skin cells and get a smooth and fairer looking skin. Why pay on chemical based market scrubs when you can try these chemical-free homemade scrubs without damaging your skin texture.

Turmeric scrub

This is a mild scrub and mask. It removes sun tan, dark spots, acne and gives flawless skin. Whenever I want an instant glow, I usually prefer this scrub. Mix 1 tablespoon of rice powder, 2 tablespoons of gram powder, ½ teaspoon of turmeric and little milk to form a paste. Massage it on the face and neck for 3 minutes. After 20 minutes, rinse with water.

Almond scrub

It exfoliates and toxifies the skin. It is perfect for dry and normal skin. Soak 4-5 almonds in ¼ cup of warm milk overnight. Blend to form a semi smooth paste. Massage it on your skin for 2 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Oatmeal scrub

Have you tried using oatmeal in your scrub? When I first heard about it, I was surprised and when I tried it, the results were really good. Grind 1 cup of oatmeal to small fine pieces. Mix it with 2 tablespoon of milk, egg white, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon sweet almond oil. Massage it on the face and neck. After sometime, rinse with lukewarm water.

Coffee or cocoa scrub

I am a coffee addict and when I heard about this scrub, I was so eager to try it. This is the best scrub that removes the dead skin layer. Mix half grinded coffee or cocoa powder, few drops of milk, honey and olive oil. Apply it on your face and neck. After 10 minutes, rinse it.

I would not recommend this scrub for sensitive skin as it can cause skin tear.  It is a good exfoliator for the less sensitive skin. Mix 1 teaspoon olive oil or coconut oil, ½ cup of honey and ½ cup of brown sugar. Apply it on your skin in circular motion for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Baking soda scrub

If you want to get rid of blackheads or whiteheads, this scrub works like magic. Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of water. Massage it on your skin. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Lemon and honey scrub

I use this scrub frequently to make my skin fair and get rid of blemishes and acne. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and ½ tablespoon of sugar. Apply this o the face and rinse after few minutes.

Salt, lemon and sugar scrub

It helps to exfoliate the skin and brighten the complexion. Mix 1 tablespoon of salt, juice of ½ lemon and sugar. Scrub it for few minutes and rinse it.

Avocado and oatmeal scrub

This is best for oily skin. Mix 2 teaspoons of ground oatmeal, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of avocado. Blend it to form a thick paste. Massage on damped face. Rinse with warm water.

Banana and sugar scrub

Banana is great for scrubbing. I usually apply banana alone but when you add it with sugar, it works as a great scrub. Mash 1 ripe banana and blend it with ¼ cup granulated sugar and ¼ cup dark brown sugar to form a paste. Massage on the skin. After 15-20 minutes, rinse with warm water.

Orange juice and honey scrub

Blend 3 cups of orange juice with ½ cup of warm honey. Apply it on damped skin. After 30 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.

Papaya mask

Papaya is a wonderful natural exfoliator which brightens your skin. Mash 1/4 cup of ripe papaya and mix it with 1 tablespoon of almond oil, 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of honey. Massage it on the face. Rinse after sometime.

Sea Salt scrub

Summer tan scrubs for face

This is a basic scrub which improves blood circulation and reduces scars. Mix 1 cup of sea salt, ½ cup olive oil and 5-10 drops of essential oil to form a paste. Massage this paste on your face in circular motion for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Rosemary, lemon and sugar scrub

Grind 1 spoon of sugar, some lemon juice and rosemary leaves to form a paste. Massage it on the face. Rinse after sometime.

Tomato and sugar scrub

Tomato is another great natural exfoliator. Mix ½ cup tomato pulp with 1 spoon of sugar. Massage it on the face to remove dead skin. Leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with water.

Coconut milk and sugar

It removes unwanted carbon and oil from your skin and makes it feel smooth. Mix 2 spoons of coconut milk with 1 spoon of sugar. Massage it on your face. Rinse after 5-10 minutes.

Coconut oil scrub

Fairness with gram flour

It is a quick-whip homemade body scrub. Blend 3 tablespoons of warm coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 drops of your favorite essential oil. I love lavender essential oil so I usually add that. Apply this on your face. Rinse after scrubbing.

Strawberry scrub

It works like magic for oily skin. It cleans the pores and makes the skin look fairer. Mash 2-3 strawberries. Add 2 tablespoons of honey. Massage it on the face for 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, rinse with cold water.

Apricot and honey scrub

It helps to remove dirt, acne and blemishes. Mix 2 apricots, 1 spoon of honey and some water to form a paste. Massage it for few minutes. Rinse after sometime.

Sandalwood

Fairness with glycerin

It fades away dark spots, black spots and sun tan. Mix 2 tablespoon of sandalwood powder, 1 teaspoon of powdered saffron, 2 tablespoons of dried rose petal powder and few drops of rose water. Scrub it on your face. After 10 minutes, rinse with cold water.
