The oil stimulates hair follicles, allowing it to grow faster. Additionally, peppermint oil facilitates a rush of blood circulation in scalp, leading to faster growth of hair.

Antiseptic and Antimicrobial

Peppermint oil is loaded with antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. These are helpful in keeping the scalp cool, fight fungus, and eliminate dandruff. Topical application of peppermint oil will also help fight lice.

No More Dry Scalp

If dry scalp is a problem, apply peppermint oil on scalp. The amazing moisturizing properties of peppermint oil will hydrate your dry scalp. Simply mix the oil with carrier oil and apply the mixture on your scalp. Cover your head with a shower cap for 30 minutes. Wash off with a mild shampoo. You may also keep the oil on hair and scalp overnight for better results.

More Effective than Minoxidil

Minoxidil (a popular and effective FDA-approved hair loss treatment) is the active ingredient in  a popular hair loss treatment, which reinvigorates shriveled hair follicles to increase in size and regrow thicker hair. According to a study conducted by Korean researchers in the year 2014 on peppermint oil on hair growth, it was revealed that the oil was more effective than Minoxidil.

Helpful Menthol

The menthol in peppermint oil helps in eradicating nasty elements growing on scalp such as fungus and bacteria that can cause hair fall and itchy flaking scalps. Regular application of oil will help you to restore the natural healthy environment of hair.
